About me

I’m Tarkan, a software developer and Senior Consultant at twoday, based in Copenhagen. I started programming with Minecraft in 2011; that interest grew into freelance work and a career building backend services, frontends, and the systems connecting them.

I build .NET backend services for public-sector customers, with a focus on robust, maintainable solutions. My work also includes requirements discussions, technical advice, testing, deployment, and technical interviews.

I like getting into the details: how systems fit together, how code is maintained, and how people use the result. I take ownership of my projects, keep learning new technologies, and question requirements when it helps us build a better solution.

Apr 2023 — Present

Senior Consultant since April 2025, after joining as Developer Consultant in April 2023. Develop .NET and ASP.NET Core microservices for public-sector customers in an agile team of ten. Work directly with customers on requirements, technical decisions, and development processes. Build Azure DevOps pipelines, REST/GraphQL/gRPC/SOAP integrations, and unit and integration tests with Docker and Testcontainers. Conduct technical interviews and coding assessments for developer roles.

Jan 2022 — Mar 2023

Designed and built an educational video-on-demand platform from scratch, serving 25,000 monthly sessions. Developed the React/Next.js frontend and ASP.NET Core backend, integrated an existing database, and built REST and GraphQL APIs. Worked closely with the project manager and product owners in an agile process. Hosted the frontend on Vercel, backend on Azure, and videos on Cloudflare.

Responsible for the company’s IT development, including mimer.dk, studieakademiet.dk, and an internal administration system built from scratch. Developed Vue.js/Nuxt.js frontends and C#/ASP.NET backends, with integrations to Dinero and Cloudflare. Managed service hosting on Cloudflare and Linux VPS servers. Built a platform for university-admission support with WebRTC video and text chat.

Worked part-time in SQL-Unit, developing internal tools to monitor and optimize Microsoft SQL Server instances. Built full-stack solutions with .NET and MSSQL, working closely with SQL consultants to improve internal processes and monitoring.
